IntroductionDr. Rajeev Sharan, 1986 Netarhat Entry Batch, Roll No. 159, Ram Krishna ashram currently working as head & neck oncosurgeon (surgical oncologist), working in Tata Medical Center, Kolkata.

A friend of Hatian Vimlesh Jee (1984 - 89 Batch, Prem Ashram) wrote a THANK YOU NOTE for Dr. Rajeev Sharan Jee's relentless support to him. Please read it.

Dear Vimlesh,

My family & I would take this opportunity to thank you for your relentless support rendered during these toughest times for us. You connected me to Dr. Rajeev Sharan, for which I would be grateful for life. They say, a friend in need is a friend indeed and both, you & Rajeev are true examples of this noteworthy phrase.

Initially, we assumed Dr. Rajeev took special care of me because of your reference, but, post my surgery, I got an opportunity to interact with many of his patients and all of them gave me a very positive feedback about him. I kept getting reassurance that I was in the safest hands. While, this was something that I had experienced from my first consultation with him. I had done all my homework and was very well read about the entire procedure that I would probably have to go through and was completely aware of the medical advise I could expect from the experts before I met him first. Let me tell you, each and everything that Dr. Rajeev advised and did to me was the best that could be done to treat me. During the course of my visits to him and the surgery, my wife and I had fully surrendered to him stating that he should do his best without any inhibitions and that we had complete faith in him. This was a great relief for us but we knew we had increased his mental pressure maybe, as it was a referred case and that too from a fellow Hatian.

The doc has operated upon me to such perfection that  even after the whole reconstruction of the face, it looks like nothing has changed. All my friends and family have acknowledged the excellent work that has been done by the doc on my face. Also, the collaborative effort by the plastic surgery team and the way he managed them to incorporate the necessary changes to leave my face with minimal incision is actually commendable. Whenever we spoke to him, in the last 3 months, he only boosted my confidence level and passed on a lot of positive energy to us. My wife always had a lot of questions for him, and he patiently always addressed all of them. I'm reminded of the time when I was in the HDU (high dependency unit) and Dr. Rajeev had visited me. He saw me in tremendous pain with the tracheostomy tube. He didn't waste any time in removing it and cleaning the area around it himself and relieving me of the pain. The entire day, there were many fellow doctors and nurses who enquired and were pleasantly surprised to know that Dr. Rajeev himself had removed it for me. Not only the hospital staff, but, also the patients around me started enquiring about him, as their doctors would maintain a safe distance from them physically and emotionally both. I began to feel so privileged during my hospital stay. These small things does not only affect the patient but gives confidence and is a great morale booster to the larger  public in reality.

With folded hands, we would like to thank you, Dr. Rajeev and the entire network of Netarhat Alumni.

The overall grooming of a great institution is reflected in what it's people give back to the society.

Thank you once again for everything!🙏
