On behalf of NOBA USA, NOBA GSR has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Aastha Charitable and Welfare Society to support the Covid Care Centre established by Aastha near R Block, Patna. This centre has been opened in collaboration with the Bihar Circle of India Post and with support from like-minded organizations such as PRAN and BJANA. See news link here. The Aastha team has also been very helpful in recent weeks in finding hospital beds and Oxygen for some NOBA and non-NOBA families.

Under this MoU, NOBA will provide monthly financial support to Aastha towards operating and salary costs of the Covid Care Centre. On its part, Aastha will focus on operating the centre in a nonprofit manner and will provide monthly reporting to NOBA.

Sumit Shashi, one of the active NOBA GSR volunteers in Patna, signed the MoU on NOBA’s behalf and will monitor the progress made by Aastha from time to time. Here are some images from the signing ceremony, which was also an opportunity to sow the seed of a great partnership by sharing seeds and plants from the "Netarhat Vasudha" wing of NOBA GSR.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this happen! May this be a new chapter in NOBA USA and overall NOBA's active support for our home states of Bihar and Jharkhand in the years to come. May NOBA GSR continue to enable all NOBA members and chapters to come together no matter where we are in the world and have a greater social impact together than we can have on our own.
