Sriman Mahesh Narayan Saxenaji took his last breath at 5.35 P.M.yesterday at Sarvoday Hospital in Faridabad where he was admitted for lungs problem. Ashu, his son was with him along with his wife Aarti when he breathed last. Only on first July I along with Sriman Kanti and Dr.Kailash Bihari went to see him at his residence in Faridabad after he got operated for hip bone fracture in the same hospital. He was going to celebrate his 95th birthday on 7th August which he could not do.
He has lived his life fully. Besides an eminent musicologist, he was true humanist, spiritualist, educationist, poet and registered homoeopath and naturopath.
He has written five books on Music most of which have been prescribed for higher studies besides two books on spiritualism both in Hindi and English. He also penned his autobiography in six parts and also an MP3 CDÂ of 103 songs recorded which were composed, written and sung by him. Recently he also got recorded his spiritual thoughts to an independent radio station. He was also a founder teacher of Netarhat School and was my housemaster of Prem Ashram for a brief period before he became the housemaster of Anand Ashram. Even after he left Netarhat in 1976, he served many institutions like Manav Bharti, Kharsawan, Khalari, Dakra and lastly Manav Sthali, Bareilly. He was an inspiration to all of us and institution in himself. I have been lucky to visit him occasionally and take his wishes. I bow my head to this great soul and pray to God to rest in peace !!
