NOBA

NOBA (Netarhat Old Boys’ Association) is the community of former students - both boys and girls - of the Netarhat School, a state-run public school in Jharkhand, India. This community also welcomes current and former teachers and staff, current students, and family members to its activities. NOBA has chapters in many major cities in India and around the world, some of which are informal and some are registered.

WEBSITE

The term Website shall be understood to include all aspects and services of the NOBA.org Website, including but not limited to all products, software and services offered via any part of the Website such as the blogs, groups, online communities, events, directories, discussion forums, job boards, mentor platforms, messaging, social and professional networking, photo and video uploading, commenting, mailing lists, and other current and future applications.

The Website electronically publishes news and information that may include facts, views, opinions and recommendations of individuals and organizations deemed of interest to NOBA members. NOBA does not review, monitor, verify or guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of or otherwise endorse information provided by any organization or individual.

The Website may include communities and forums containing the personal opinions and other expressions of the persons who post entries on a wide range of topics. These expressions and opinions belong to the specific author and not to NOBA. NOBA does not monitor these forums and their proper use is the responsibility of each user. When requested, the participants and organizers of any community or forum are required to assist NOBA in investigating any potential violation of these Terms of Use or any laws or regulations.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites that are not owned by, affiliated with or controlled by NOBA. NOBA has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. USER ACCOUNT

In order to access some features of the Website, you will need to create an account. When creating your account, you must provide accurate and complete information. Only former and current students of Netarhat School are eligible to create accounts on the Website. NOBA, at its sole discretion, may decide at any time to expand this eligibility to other individuals connected to Netarhat School, for example, former and current teachers and staff. NOBA, at its sole discretion, may decide at any time to restrict this eligibility in any manner.

You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your account, and you must keep your account password secure. You must notify NOBA immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account. Although NOBA will not be liable for your losses caused by any unauthorized use of your account, you may be liable for the losses caused to NOBA or others due to such unauthorized use. You may never use another user's account. You may never share, transfer, or sell your user account to other parties. 

RULES FOR ONLINE CONDUCT

This Website is meant for positive interactions between members of the NOBA community and it is the responsibility of each user to maintain a positive environment on this Website. You agree to use the Website in accordance with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws. Because NOBA is a community organization and may have chapters that are nonprofit or tax-exempt organizations, you agree that you will not use the Website for organized partisan political activities or commercial purposes. This includes interactions with other users by email, web post, postal mail, phone, or any other communication method.

All users are required to respect other users' privacy rights and should contact another user only if it is permitted by that user and only with a legitimate purpose. Users are prohibited from sharing other users' information with third parties without prior consent of those users.

PROHIBITED CONDUCT

The following types of content are prohibited on the Website and may be removed upon discovery:

Content that defames or threatens others

Statements that are bigoted, hateful or offensive

Content that infringes another's intellectual property, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks or trade secrets. When quoting copyrighted material, please adhere to the Electronic Frontier Foundation's Fair Use Guidelines.

Material that contains obscene language or images

Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation

Copyrighted material, including without limitation software, graphics, text, photographs, sound, video and musical recordings, may not be placed on the Website without the express permission of the owner of the copyright of the material, or other legal entitlement to use the material. Any person posting material protected by copyright for the benefit of any third-party represents and warrants consent or permission has been obtained to post such materials. 

Although NOBA does not screen or monitor content posted by users to the Website, NOBA reserves the right to remove content that violates the above rules once it becomes aware.

You may not attempt to use or distribute tools designed for compromising security or take any action to compromise the security of this site. Examples of these tools include but are not limited to password guessing programs, cracking tools or network probing tools. You may not "flood" or disrupt the Website through any means or process.

You may not copy, scrape, download, export or otherwise capture any data obtained in the Website, e.g., the alumni directory, and/or store it outside of the system, e.g., in a separate spreadsheet, email list, database or other external repository without the permission of NOBA.

You agree that you will not access or attempt to access any other user's account, or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using the Website.

NOBA does not warrant that the Website will operate in an uninterrupted or error-free manner or that the Website is free of viruses or other harmful components. Use of information obtained from or through these Website is at your own risk.
