Shri Manish Ranjan was at Neterhat 1986-90. He followed with Patna Science College and Hindu College, New Delhi. Thereafter he did his MBA from IRMA, Anand. After successfully competing UPSC and among his many qualifications is a Masters degree from Said Business School, Oxford in Innovation, Leadership, Entreprenurship and Science CRISP 2016. He is a 2002 IAS officer of the Jharkhand Cadre.
Among the best minds in India behind this success includes a doctor from Bihar, D. Chandra Mohan.
Under 5 mortality rates in India has seen a significant improvement from 126 per 1000 live births in 1990, 83.1 in 2000 to now 36.6 per 1000 live births. In term of absolute numbers from more than 1 million deaths at the start of the Millenium to less than 5 lakhs achieved in 2018 which has further gone down very quickly. Among the most important factors achieving this are vaccinations against Rotavirus Diarrhea and Pneumonia, the top killers of under 5 children. India has achieved success in developing these important vaccines fully in India. From concept to successful clinical trials leading to licensure and WHO Pre qualifications, these vaccines are Indian success stories which makes every Indian proud. Dr Chandra Mohan as Principal Investigator for Delhi site for both these vaccines was an important member of that team.
Born on 19 February 1963, his schooling was done at a prestigious residential school, Netarhat School near Ranchi in Jharkhand State. Thereafter, he joined the premier technological institute of India IIT, Kanpur and obtained a degree of Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering in 1985. He has been appointed as Special Secretary, Administration (AD), MEA.
After joining the Indian Foreign Service, Ambassador Bharti has worked in Indian Embassies in Tehran, the Hague, Kathmandu, Ankara and Yangon. He also served in Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. In the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, he has worked looking after Bangladesh and also headed the E-Governance and IT Division. Before joining Kyiv as Ambassador of the Republic of India to Ukraine in Sep 2015, he served as India’s Ambassador to Belarus from May 2011 till September 2015.
NOBA-Delhi is going to organize 3rd J.N. Dar Memorial Function on 10th Sept. 2016.
